Ony advantage I see is that you can pick my bike up and drop it off when you drive by... LOL

Actually it looks like its only 25min more than the fastest route...
90 is toll, 88 is toll - so everything that gets you west as an interstate is toll...

I took this route the first time I went to BHF to avoid the I90 toll, and it shook one of the sheet metal screws out of my trailer wall. I refer to this road as "where pavement comes to die." Ever since, I happily pay the toll.sobottka;219012 wrote: on the south side of rockford, you can turn west on 20 (left lane) instead of taking the tollway (right lane). go west for 5 miles or so then turn north on meridian rd. go north on meridian all the way to shirland or rockton rd. then east on shirland
for a 1/2 to 1 mile. then turn north on prairie to the track. it doesnt take much longer and no tolls (at least between rockford and beloit)
 i like the way youre thinkinsome guy #2;219540 wrote: Problem solved, get more Putnam dates for 2012!!!
This way will add an hour or more to your trip...20 goes through every small town between elgin and rockford. But as Germany suggested you can pick him up, then pick me up too. I live right off rt20.Germany;219137 wrote: Jeff, if you really want to cut down, take 94 to 290 take 290 to the Elgin Ohare, Elgin Ohare to 20 and 20 all the way out,but that adds probably an hour plus to your trip...
