Information on N2's Racing Program

So anyone got the deets? Im really curious to see what the class structure will look like. I think WERA does a good job at breaking the classes down, im hoping to see it like that. Still not sure what the hell "thunderbike" is.

I have heard endurance and GTs. No 5-7 lap sprints, if that's what you're still looking for. Chip posted everything will be timed and to standby for more details. Off to read the motoA class book in the meantime. Also congrats on your license!

What's a GT race? I was truthfully never looking for sprints. I'd just rather do sprints as opposed to 2+ hour races. If we can get some 15~25 lap races, that would be optimal. Thanks btw!

Timed and normally longer, like 20-25 mins instead of 7 laps reduced to 5. MotoA style. So like right in line with what you're thinking.

Also we do the 2 hour three ways which ends up being cheap fun and about 30-40 mins on the bike... you don't HAVE to Ironman the endurance race.

Wow!

What a fantastic note from the N2 leadership team providing insight into the pause in the N2RA launch.

If anything, it got me fired up to figure out how I can support N2 when the leadership team determine the conditions are right for the N2RA launch.

So happy / relieved / grateful I found this club.

Questions for any who knows. I'm currently new to the track, got about 10 track days under my belt. I'm trying to start my club racing journey (not professional) have almost no idea how to get started. I know I need a racing license don't know how to get it or from who ? Also once I receive this license what organization do I go through. By the looks of it N2 only has endurance racing.tbh not interested in endurance. Kinda looking for a twins cup for adults...I currently have a ninja 400 track prepped and I'm about 30 years of age if that's important.

Okay so. Super simple. Assuming you are already at least I group with N2, what you do is sign up for race school with N2. This takes part inside of a normal track weekend, and is offered at multiple tracks. You'll do some classroom, do some riding, and then participate in a mock race. Once you've done that, you'll get a graduate certificate that shows you've done race school.

That...entitles isn't really the right word, but that is the precursor qualification anyway, you'll take that to WHATEVER org you want to race with, ASRA, PanAm, WERA are the common ones on the east coast....and give them some money and they will give you a provisional race license and you can go race. Which org you choose is solely depending on what kind of racing you want to do and what tracks you want to ride, info is available at wera.com or asraracing.com or panamsbk.com

N2 is not in the racing game any longer and no longer has an endurance series, but the racing school is still valid for all three aforementioned orgs.

Once you've done that, the rules to move from prov to novice will vary based on whatever org you choose, but generally you'll have to do 2 or so races in order to qualify for a full novice license. ALL of this is at the club level, obv.

If you want to run like MotoA twins cup, then that's a whole added level of complication that involves everything I said plus a bunch of racing and accruing points, so I'm not going to go into that unless you are specifically looking for that info.

Best of luck, have fun with it, post up if you have more questions. Also, good luck!
