And now for something a little different......

BTW.... You see that "Bubble" on the lower? That was an area that I cut out and formed for clearance to avoid the exhaust burning through like it has done twice before....

Finished up and delivered an R6 today for this upcoming season of racing. Two sets of wheels painted. One fitted with custom wheel stripes. New set of Armour Bodies fitted up and then sprayed with Yamaha blue, black, and House of Kolors neon Chartreuse for number plates. Tires mounted and reassembled with the new tank set aside for mounting later, which saw a little bit of touch up paint as well.

I have been clearing some property in order to build a new Trading Paint garage/ paint booth, but.......

Spent some time over the weekend slinging paint for a new ZX10 and some Gix bodywork that is being used on a SV650.

I also finished a carbon fiber upper for my Tuono. I ordered the Aprilia OEM graphics to use on it so it looks like a factory piece.

Had an old friend stop by a couple days ago with his Kenny Roberts RZ350 and a new helmet that he wanted some subtle graphics to match, so this is what I came up with.......

This is the kind of stuff I get dropped off usually. I always forget to take "before" pics and just dive right in, but here you can see what I get to work with quite often....

Couple things I finished up this past week. The bodywork is for a Ninja 300 that is being built for a friend's wife while the wheels are going on an SV 650 that is being built for racing...

I know I have not posted much in here lately, but I HAVE been working. Quite a bit of work has been going on...

This is the only shot I have, but I did a set of T-Tops for a 69 Stingray for a customer from up north. He wants me to do the whole car at a later point when I get my full booth up and running.

This is a full set of badly rashed Ducati 749 skins that were brought over. Rash. Cracks, etc........

I have done some other stuff for good repeat customer that is wicked fast, but crashes a good bit in the process. I have done both of his bikes probably 4 times in the last year and don't even take pics any more.

Here is a set of track skins for an up and coming young kid. His name is Jackson Blackmon, and he is proving to consistently run at the pointy end in damn near everything he runs, including the Moto America KTM Cup this past year. This is the second paint job I have done for him and it was unvieled this past weekend at Barber for the WERA GNF. (Grand National Finals) He ended up winning the Yamaha R3 Cup and, in the process, won a brand new R3 as well! This is not the first time he has taken my paint work to the podium either, and will not be the last. I do his paint work for cost basically.

This was last year at VIR when Jackson took his Moriwaki to the front at VIR. This paint was done in neon pink and Yamaha blue.

Thought I would post up a couple I finished up recently. One is a basic white but with a blue pearl over it since we determined that the bodywork was crap to begin with and it would not make sense to put an expensive paint job on.

DSCF5884_1.jpg

DSCF5885.jpg

The other is a set for an SV 650 race bike. He wanted a layout like what Roger Hayden ran on his race bike, so I had to figure out how to make it work on different bodywork. The tank came to me dented like hell and the front fender was busted up, so I had to take care of those and then spend 9 hours in the paint booth making it happen. This has a satin finish over it, which is a little different for me. Can't say I am much of a fan of satin or matt finishes.
