    NESBA - Operation Bone Stock?

I see. Sounds cool and fun. Results will be interesting and informative.

    NESBA - Operation Bone Stock?

I agree wtih Andrew on this one (but you are the only one who knows exactly what you are looking for from this endeavor). But to be demonstrative of his point: put a MotoGP bike and 40 year old cafe racer on a frozen lake course. Regardless of which bike is more capable, the only thing being...

    NESBA - Operation Bone Stock?

Robert Mitchell. Rode through our ranks. He won the WERA Novice C Superstock NorthEast and Mid-Atlantic Championships last year. Pretty sure that bike (R6) was very stock.

    Low lift/ no lift helmet?

Note that even with a manufacturer (Shoei, Arai,...) that the different models fit different shape heads. A Shoei RF-1200 and x-12 do not have the same shape. An Arai Signet and Corsair do not have the same shape. So just don't listen to "manufacturer X" has a certain shape. They have...

laptime difference between 1000 and 600's

Lots of good thoughts. The value of looking at the AMA lap times is that, theoretically, these riders are actually using all/most of what the bikes are capable of. So, the lap time difference should actually show the difference in lap times due to the bike. However, the lap times difference...

    GSXR to an R6

Sort of along the lines of Shane's repsonse. They are very different. I have ridden all sorts of years of both bikes. The R6 really screams at the very upper revs, but is pretty gutless when it falls lower in the revs. The GSXR has a bit more torque and pulls out of lower revs better, but...

Motor Work What can I do?

If you are thinking about motor work, what is legal with WERA, and since you live in Northern Virginia, hit up Terrance Johnson. WERA tech inspector, A&J Cycle Performance in Upper Marlboro immediately off the beltway. And gixxers are his thing. He is Handicapped Racer on this board and the...

    Slower on a faster bike

I hop different bikes ALL the time. Completely normal to go slower on the 1000 at first. Most commonly I find people over braking as you approach the braking zones FASTER - so it ends up being a little bit of panic braking due to the speed. Also, it seems people struggle with trusting laying...

    Judging speed

+1 Here is something I wrote-up a while ago, and I think is pertinent to this approach: Riders often look to get faster around the track by staying on the gas longer and braking later. This is especially true at corners that require a significant reduction in speed from that at which the...

How many Days out of a Q2?

I disagree with this - I EAT tires at lightning. On the side of the tires for SO long at that track, and generally driving hard with the rear (so much gas at this track) or scrubbing speed with the front on entry (not so much straight up and down braking or acceleration).

    Buying Q2 at the track

Ask this question in the regional forum that the track you will be going to is in. There are different trackside vendors for each region, and they will be able to accurately answer this question for you.

    I've switched to GP shift

I don't know. LOL. I've used the DynoJet, Starlane, and Bazzaz - they all do the same trick when set up. I currently have the stand alone Bazzaz with Power Commander (as the Dynojet shift ride piece went bad the winter before last). The starlane is nice because the same unit can do GP and...
