That's the essence of what I said but disputing is a pain in the neck and I wanted to try and give Bob/Rob a chance to do the right thing and refund my purchase. We've gone past two deadlines for providing more information and now know no more than before as it pertains to refunds.

As for buying a season pass after the dust settles, we'll see. Signing up for days here or there is one thing, ponying up a wad of cash is another. I want to see how the new guys handle the transition.

Rob,

Thanks for taking this on and providing regular updates. I refrained from comment on the forum until now, but am a season pass "holder", too. There's nothing I can add that hasn't be raised on this thread, save one peripheral issue.
New management needs their volunteered time, attention and energy focused on the good of the whole; while a valuable tool, the forum is stealing it away to the detriment of all of us who seek a resolution (not a mouthpiece to channel frustration). Member feedback should be funneled to a suggestion box and maybe a satisfaction survey (transparency could be maintained by regular reporting). Whether valid, invalid, right or wrong, what's read and said here is a representation of a passionate and highly engaged minority. I commend that passion, but had to point out its potential to harm everyone. There's no easy way to quantify how many passive readers came here, read something and then wrote off contributing to what is an amazing community of people that like to ride safe and quick on two wheels.

Oh, and I know you read the whole thread but am sorry I've done the very thing I wrote against above. You could have been pouring through documents faster to transition this thing. I guess it's human nature... Protect us from ourselves!

Instead of updating your first post in this thread, could you start a new thread, sticky it, and lock it so you(rob or a rep.) can post updates as to status and information coming from the new org.?

Please note, I have read every message in this thread. So those of you that may believe we're not paying attention. Make no mistake, we are. This our money and names going on this thing.
Actually, apparently you can still sign up for events. This new member said he signed up yesterday for Jefferson in this thread - http://tracktalk.nesba.com/showthread.php?t=33216&page=3

Someone should break it to him.

Not Rob's fault. Bob Blanford should have shut off the registration system.

Edit: I posted to his thread telling him to cancel it for a refund to his credit card.

I compliment your use of business speak to say something without saying anything about something that you say you shouldn't have said. :adore:

Welcome to NESBA Mike. This is why the org has declined as much as Bob's poor administration. There is a sense of absolute arrogance from the top of this group. I would guess that many of these "optimists" already had more than a clue as to what was coming. I was told directly from a top NESBA CR late last year that NESBA was on the way out. There is little speculate that the new org or orgs were in the works as I was told it would be run under a new name. If that word had spread nobody would have signed up and paid for the 2014 season. That's a lot of front money to get the new org off to a good financial start - money already in the bank. Speculation on my part about the $$ but makes a lot of business sense.

I never had many direct dealings with Bob. My dealings with NESBA were at the track. My track experiences with some of the house guys were good, some were not. I will say this from a business sense. This transition was handled extremely unprofessionally. The customers have been and continue to be treated poorly. Unless there is a purging of the people that helped NESBA die you can call it whatever you want - it will still be an arrogant org that could care less about anybody but themselves.

So as a follow-up to my post #185, the guy tried to cancel, but it won't let him refund his card. I can't tell him if the Jefferson event at the end of March is on. Hopefully more info will be available soon, I know Rob and the guys are working really hard.

It just sucks that the registration system is still taking registration for events that may or may not happen.

Despite or because of 8 years of catholic shcool, kind of sounds like someone is using Peter to pay Paul?

Rob if there are any paid positions avliable I nominate Judy as she has already fostered so many of us when we were new!

I mean Christ! Or in Military terms, wait for the Change of command ceremony to be over, let the new commander move his flag into the desk, let him get a little settled in his chair..THEN you can go in his office and be Frank Burns.
Priceless. ..I don't need cable I've got D- zum

Haha, thanks for the kudos. I don't know how much I'll be able to get to the track this year, but I'll for sure help new riders out on the forum for N2. And I'd be glad to volunteer help at the track for new riders. I just can't commit, as I'm job-hunting and have no idea what my track schedule, if any, will look like this year.
